The Oriental Pearl Tower

The Oriental Pearl Tower
Standing by the side of Huangpu River, the 468-meter-tall tower is located at the tips of Lujiazui in the Pudong Distrct, opposite to the Bund on the west bank. It ranks the tallest TV Tower in Asia and the third tallest in the world.

The designers magically set the eleven beautiful spheres of various sizes up from the green grassland to the blue sky with two giant spheres shining like rubies. The whole design is rich in poetic and pictorial splendor, which gives the tourist the impression that pearls of various sizes are dropping onto the emerald plate.

The sightseeing level in the upper sphere is 45m in circumference and 263m in height, offering a bird’s eye view of the city. When it is sunny, it makes one relaxed and happy to see the distant views of Sheshan, Chongming Island and the Yangtze River. In the upper sphere, there houses the Revolving Restaurant, the Disco Hall, the Piano Bar and twenty KTW rooms.

The Space module, with a height of 350 meters, towers into the sky. Inside of which is set the Sightseeing Floor, Conference Hall and Coffee Bar. Hotel in the Air is in the five smaller spheres with 20 guest rooms altogether.

Now the Pearl Tower ranks second only to Eiffel Tower in terms of its increasing volume of the inbound tourists and tourism revenue annually.
